The Finer Things in Life

We had another awesome meeting. However, if the object of these gatherings is to appear as mature young adults discussing what is love, how to be happy, fetishes, anonymity on the internet, and the meaning of life in a very sophisticated way, then we failed. Rickrolled. Thanks Bella.

It was fun. I'm really going to miss the graduating seniors though. Let's find time in May for another meeting. Please come back for FTC!

As much as I enjoyed that, I understand the necessity of keeping it mature and sophisticated. If we did not hold up that pretext, we would just be friends talking normally: the uniqueness of the experience would be void, the restaurant setting unnecessary, the event foolish.

At the same time, I don't think there is anything wrong with osculating between melting into puddles at Bella's or Okey's accents, bursting out into table-wide shouts of clever foreign words, or enjoying ourselves to the fullest even if it invites other patrons' awed stares. The fact that we can go from that to decorum in several seconds shows maturity more than sitting trough calm clever discussions will do. If our goal is to be like young adults, then we have gone above and beyond - young adults are either completely serious or one step away from complete watersheds. Going back and forth, and taking with us the best aspects of each, is brilliant.

And to conclude on that note, the discussions yesterday were both lengthy and mature, and penetrated deep into the vary makeup of our humanity. I'll miss you all next year.
